Every plant carries far more than a formula can hold. Extraction is where we choose: which fractions to recover, which to leave, and why. This is how an island becomes an ingredient.

Six steps, from territory to skin.

  1. 01 Observe

    We read the territory first: the species, the part used, the origin, how it is handled.

  2. 02 Define

    We separate what the plant means, how it feels, and what it can do for skin. Not everything observed belongs in a formula.

  3. 03 Extract

    Each process recovers some fractions and not others. We choose the one that serves the formula, and keep it reproducible.

  4. 04 Characterise

    Identity, composition, quality, stability, consistency. We test to know enough to formulate with care.

  5. 05 Formulate

    Each product is designed as a system. No single ingredient carries the whole story.

  6. 06 Validate

    Safety, stability, packaging, regulatory review. We communicate only what the finished formula can support.
